​My family has lived in Lakeland for nearly 10 years.  Initially, it was just my husband, our kids and myself.  My mom & dad, once snowbirds, soon moved to Lakeland full-time and were followed by my two sisters and their families.  We all agree that Polk County has blessed us.

Over the years I have grown to know the community and its leaders through involvement in United Way, Leadership Lakeland, Leadership Polk, various civic organizations, professional organizations, the faith community and of course, my childrens academic and extra-curricular pursuits.  Polk County has so much to offer.  We have alot to be proud of!

I am the mom of two non-traditional learners, finding an academic home for them has been a challege.  As they advanced in school it got even harder.  The birth of Student Solutions, Inc. and Solution Academy was necessitated when I realized- I was not alone.

It is my sincere desire to use my professional experience and strong  education partners to meet the academic needs of these "grey area" students.  Solutions Academy offers a program designed to reduce student & family frustration, build student confidence and advance academic skills through individualized curriculum.
